Daniel is a multi-instrumentalist and audio engineer from the Bay Area. From learning to play the drums as a child, to guitar, bass and keyboard as a teenager, Daniel has had a lifelong passion for music that is evident in the way he works with our students.
Playing in several local bands and performance groups throughout his high school years, Daniel is well-versed in composing original material, a skill he first brought to Sonoma Academy in our 2013 theatrical production of Metamorphoses.
Daniel's work in performance and composition lead to his pursuit of a Music and Recording Arts degree from California State University, Chico. During his time there he studied music theory, composition, recording, and audio production. During this time he gained more performance experience both in studio and as well as in live performance in jazz, classical guitar, rock, soul, folk, and many other genres as well. Daniel also has touring experience both in the states and abroad.
Daniel is currently an instructor and band director for our jazz, guitar, and musical theater programs. He also teaches a number of fun Exploratory classes for all those students (and staffulty) who have ever wanted to learn some basic chops on the guitar and the drums!
