Debbie Novograd

Debbie Novograd is a problem solver and forward thinker whose ability to not only look at existing program needs, but identify future opportunities in the marketplace to meet consumer trends is what propelled her over the last 25 years through leadership roles in strategy, marketing and business development. Most recently Debbie held the role of Vice Chairman of the Board and CEO for BevZero, and prior in Regional and National roles with Starbucks North America, Starbucks International, and Aramark.

Debbie retired from her role at BevZero in early 2022 in order to focus on her immediate and extended family and her ongoing commitment to transforming the perception of social beverages and consumers' relationship with non-alcoholic beverages. Debbie currently holds the role of Chief Strategy Officer and Advisor to Starla Wines, Advisor to RationAle Brewing, and Board Member and Ambassador for The BlueRose Foundation.

Debbie and her husband Nik have two children, one currently at Sonoma Academy and one at Sonoma Country Day School.

“As a child of a high school teacher and administrator, education has always been at the forefront of my life. I have seen the impact a school and its educators can have on a student, their family, and the community it serves from many viewpoints. Sonoma Academy is an amazing institution offering so much to its students, families and community. I am honored and excited to serve on the Board and assist in the ongoing development and growth of this organization.”
